With more than 10 years experience designing and making gowns and corsets in the UK, British designer Vicky Kidd-Gallichan has now brought her unique style to Australia with Rockstars and Royalty.
Vicky specialises in Victorian corsetry and corseted gowns which are all individually designed, cut, sewn, fitted and hand-finished by her in her studio in Richardson, Canberra. Her designs range from fairytale, fit for a princess, to outrageous, bright coloured gowns to bring out the rockstar in you. Vicky also makes tiaras, jewellery, veils and accessories and can even decorate your shoes as the perfect finishing touch.
The whole creation of your dream gown starts when you meet with Vicky to discuss your ideas, try on some of her sample gowns and look at fabric samples. At the end of this appointment, Vicky will draw a design for you and give you quote.
If you are on a tighter budget, Vicky also ‘rocks up’ existing off-the-peg gowns, giving you a one-off gown for less expense. This can involve adding beading, straps, flowers or any other decoration, and is a great way to incorporate Vicky’s design into your bridesmaids gowns.
